From September 11 to 16, 2022, the IEEE 12th International Conference on Nanomaterials: Applications & Properties (NAP-2022) took place in Krakow, Poland, at the Galaxy Hotel. Organized by the IEEE Nanotechnology Council in collaboration with the Silesian University of Technology and Sumy State University, the conference brought together leading scientists and researchers worldwide. Participants discussed advancements in nanomaterials and their applications in electronics, photonics, nanomedicine, energy, and environmental sustainability. The hybrid format of the event allowed both in-person and virtual participation, making it accessible to researchers from more than 20 countries.
IMAGE Project’s Contribution
The IMAGE project, which focused on developing novel anisotropic crystalline nanocomposites for optoelectronic applications, was actively represented at NAP-2022. Researchers from Lviv Polytechnic National University and their partners from France, Germany, and Poland presented their latest research findings. These included advancements in nanostructured materials with potential applications in lasers, energy devices, and photonic technologies. Their presentations contributed to the vibrant discussions and collaborative opportunities at the event.
Award-Winning Presentation
Dr. Nazariy Andrushchak, one of the IMAGE project participants at the NAP-222 conference, delivered a standout presentation on the synthesis and properties of anisotropic crystalline nanocomposites. His presentation won the prestigious Best Presentation Award in the “Rising Star in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology” competition. This accolade highlighted the innovative work being carried out under the IMAGE project, and a photo of Dr. Andrushchak receiving the award was featured on the conference webpage.
Looking Ahead
The participation of IMAGE project researchers at NAP-2022 exemplified the project’s commitment to advancing research in nanotechnology. The conference provided a platform for researchers to share their breakthroughs with a global audience and foster international collaboration, which will undoubtedly contribute to the IMAGE project’s future success. Photos from the event showcasing the IMAGE team’s involvement are available on the project website.
